Session Goals
The goal of this session is to answer the question, 'what is our place, role, and or relationship to racist ideologies and institutions, and how does this affect us as individuals?'. We will also investigate the processes for reporting complaints, microaggressions, harassment, and overt racism, and how racist incidents are documented and addressed at different levels within our organizations (e.g., lab/work group, department/division, university/organization). Also, we will identify resources available to people of color who have made complaints about racism. These resources include counselors of the same race and designated advocates throughout the process.
